The Credit Union started its history in the (then) downtown post office and courthouse on 46 E Robinson Avenue where they were located in between the years 1930-1941, relocated slightly within the same block to 40 E Central Avenue from 1941-1978. 1978 the Credit Union moved its main office to 301 East Michigan Street where it still resides but with the addition of four more branches in Lake Mary, Winter Garden, Melbourne and at the Tradeport postal facilitiy.
2005 marked the 75th anniversary for Central Florida Postal Credit Union, the name it adopted in 1997 to better describe the area that the organization serves. With branch locations in downtown Orlando, Tradeport, Melbourne, Winter Garden and Lake Mary, central Florida indeed has its own postal Credit Union.
